Hassam Hameed-TDO-21.11.2017- North Korea is been reassigned as sponsor of terror by President Donald Trump. North Korea was removed from the list by then-President George W. Bush. Country’s nuclear program and support for international acts of terrorism are said to be the reason.
North Korea is already under wide-array of sanctions by US and United Nations. US is also pressuring China to increase its pressure of sanctions. China can leverage its influence on Pyongyang as being its key trade partner, but is being reluctant of consequential crisis in the country. Trump said it "should have happened a long time ago".
Pyongyang says, it will continue with its nuclear development program as it is necessary to defend itself from the looming threat of US and south Korea annexation.
