Serhat TUNAR -TDO- "We have recently been in contact with six Islamic countries known as the enemy of Israel in the near past," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the remembrance of former Israeli Prime Minister Levi Eshkol.
Netanyahu, who did not disclose the name of the countries he mentioned in his statement, stressed that contact with these countries is very important for the peace process. The Prime Minister also said that they have made progress in terms of agreement and relationship with other neighboring countries.
Netanyahu added that only a small part of the normalization of relations with the Arab countries was open to public, and stated huge part of the talks continued in secrecy.
The Israeli Prime Minister visited Oman from the Gulf countries last year and met with King Nightmare Bin Said.
