News Center-TDO-17.08.2018- Ambassador of Vietnam to Turkey, Pham Anh Tuan, hosted a reception regarding 72nd Anniversary of the foundation of Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in Swiss Hotel.
Several respected guests from diverse occupations joined to the event. Also, Minister of Customs and Trade, Bülent Tüfenkçi and the leader of Turkey-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group, Kemalettin Yılmaztekin, were among the attendees.
The program started with sing of national anthems. Initially, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan took the stage. In his speech, Tuan stated that since the independence day, 22 September 1945, people of the Vietnam has been working for happiness and prosperity of their country. He noted that since the introduction of the economic reform program thirty years ago, Vietnam sustains at least 6.5 % of growth rate annually. Moreover, he acknowledged that 2017 means more than just 72nd anniversary of the republic. Tuan indicated that it is 22nd anniversary of Vietnam’s membership to ASEAN, 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Vietnam and Vietnam would host OPEC meetings. Furthermore, he congratulated Turkey as it becomes Sectorial Dialogue partner of ASEAN. Additionally, Tuan mentioned on PM BinaliYıldırım’s visit to Vietnam and said ‘’ I would be the first visit official visit of a Turkish PM to Vietnam and I believe it would bring significant remarks to bilateral relations’’.
Secondly, Tüfenkçi took the stage. He said ‘’ Under Asia-Pacific Opening of Turkish government, Vietnam is a trustworthy partner and a good friend’’. He added that economic potential between the states was huge and it would foster with planned free trade agreements. He said ‘’ I will join Mr.Binali Yıldırım on his visit to Vietnam in next week’’. Finally, he touched upon Turkish Airlines and said newly introduced routes to Vietnam would bring the two nations closer and develop bilateral relations.
