News Centre – TDO - Said Aid Talebe, Chargé d’Affaires of the Moroccan Embassy in Turkey has hosted a reception at the Ankara Swiss Hotel on the occasion of the anniversary of the accession to the throne of Mohammed 6th, King of Morocco.
The reception was attended by Minister for Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, People’s Republican Party General Secretary Mehmet Akif Hamzaçebi, President of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce Gürsel Baran and many members of missions, diplomats and journalists in Ankara.
The reception began with the playing of the national anthems of Morocco and Turkey.
The evening proceeded with cutting a celebratory cake accompanied by Moroccan folk tunes and the serving of refreshments.
Writing on his official Twitter account after the ceremony, Minister Ersoy said “I celebrate the national day of the friend and brother Morocco and I believe that the historical and well rooted ties between our two countries will develop even further through the shared will of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and King of Morocco Mohammed 6th.
