Mustafa AY – TDO – 13.09.2018 On Wednesday, Libyan PM Fayez-al-Sarraj announced that postponement of forthcoming general elections may occur on account of ongoing conflict in the country. Seraj underlined the fact that all opposition factions should acknowledge the consequence of forthcoming elections after letting mistrusts and doubts about the official rule of Libya aside. If they do so, the election can be administered as planned. On May, French President Emanuel Macron hosted agreement-oriented conference held between Libyan government and opposition factions to remedy conflicting issues. In the conference, the opposing parties agreed on administering the elections under UN’s watch.
