Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Prime Minister Hariri resigned last Tuesday after demonstrations began in Lebanon on October 17. Lebanese President Mishel Aoun accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri and demanded that the entire cabinet, including the prime minister, remain in temporary office until the new government is formed.
After the latest developments, the current ministers will not hold a consultative meeting as before until the new prime minister is elected and the government is formed. President Aoun is expected to answer questions from members of the Press on Thursday (today) about the new developments. The president has been meeting with political parties in Parliament, and forming a new government soon will not be easy.
Sources close to Mishel Aoun say that the president will make great efforts to ensure that the new government is in line with the sensitivity of the current period, which takes into account the Lebanese demands, and that this process will take time.
