JAPAN AND AUSTRALIA THROUGH DEFENSE PACT

Mustafa AY – TDO – 19.01.2018 Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull made an official visit to Japan. According to the visit, Turnbull with his counterpart Shinzo Abe made an official touches. Both leader went to a military training ground outside Tokyo. They managed observations over the military training ground of Japanese army because both countries have a joint will for forming a defense pact, which is stemming from North Korean crisis. According to the pact, both countries are aimed at conducting joint military drills so that they’ll be able to increase their armies’ maneuverability for a possible military operation to N. Korea and other threats. Besides the concerns over N. Korea, China is another rationale of this pact’s formation. That China has been increasingly proliferating its military buildups in South China Sea lays another foundation of this pact.
