Mustafa AY – TDO – 03.09.2018 On Sunday, aircrafts belonging to Israeli Air Forces launched an airstrike over Mazzeh military airbase used by Syria’s Asad Regime in capital city Damascus. IAF’s jets merely managed to hit an ammunation depot within Mazzeh military airbase, but couldn’t make any damage to airfield, said Asad Regime Forces’ officials. Throughout the airstrike, air defense systems achieved to intercept multiple enemy missiles on air, underlined regime officials. It is not the first time that Israel organized an airstike over Syria’s Mazzeh military airbase. In 2016 and 2017, Israeli jets hit Mazzeh twice.
