IRAN SUPREME COURT’S DECISION ON DEATH SENTENCE FOR AN IRANIAN RESEARCHER

Mustafa AY – TDO – 26.12.2017 Iran Supreme Court upheld the death sentence of an Iranian researcher Ahmed Reza for the rationale referring to that he was conducting spying activities within Iranian borders in the name of Israel. Ahmed Reza has been imprisoned since April 2016. Recently, he’s appeared on air to confess treason for which Iran indicted. He precisely made the remarks that he was yielding confidential information with regard to Iranian military and nuclear scientists to Israeli Intelligence Service Mossad. That the information for two Iranian scientists, who were assassinated in 2010 by Mossad apparently, was provided by Ahmed Reza was revealed by Iranian authorities. Iran Supreme Court’s decision on Ahmed Reza is the final meaning that Ahmed Reza’s solicitors may have no right to appeal Supreme Court’s decision.
