İrem UZUN -TDO-  The Iranian spokesman, Ali Rabiei, stated on state TVIran is willing to give reassurances on not seeking nuclear arms and accept changes to its 2015 nuclear accord with world power if the United States returns to the deal and lifts sanctions.

On Wednesday, the government spokesman said“If the sanctions are ended and there is a return to the (nuclear) accord, there is room for giving reassurances toward breaking the deadlock and the President (Hassan Rouhani) has even a proposal for small changes in the accord.”

Yet, on the other hand, an Iranian official saidthe possibility of a meeting between Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his US counterpart Donald Trump is "zero". He also emphasized the need for the US to lift sanctions and return to the 2015 nuclear deal.

Speaking before a ministerial meeting of the remaining parties to the nuclear deal, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told Reuters news agency: "Diplomacy is the only way to resolve issues ... this meeting gives us an opportunity to review where we are."
