IRAN HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AMERICAN THREATS

İlknurŞebnemÖztemel- TDO-Today is the 38th anniversary of overthrown of US backed Shah Reza Pahlavi by supporters ofRuhollahKhomeni. However, this year ceremonies have another meaning as tensions rise between Iran and USA.

Recently,Iranian President Khameni called people to march in the anniversary of the revolution and added a new meaning to it as ‘’ showing the world that the US threats do not mean anything inside Iran".He said "Some inexperienced figures in the region and America are threatening Iran ... They should know that the language of threats has never worked with Iran”. He added “They should learn to respect Iran and Iranians ... We will strongly confront any war-mongering policies".

Due to the ongoing dispute between two governments regarding economic sanctions and ballistic missile tests, the future of the Iran nuclear deal that has signed between Iran and p5+1(China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States; plus Germany), in 2015,  is blur.

Actually, Iran-USA relations were not good when Barack Obama was in the office.  Most recently, in December 2016, Senate’s decision to expand Iranian sanctions for ten years, tightened bilateral relations. Moreover, Trump imposed more strict policies against Iran. Both sides continue to blame each other for worsening relations.
