İlknur Şebnem Öztemel-TDO-19.05.2017 Russia-Islamic World Economic Forum (Kazan Forum) has started in the capital of Tatarstan, Kazan.
President of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, Taliya Minullina, said that about 2000 attendees from 50 countries would be in the event, in the next three days. She added ‘’ This year we will focus on business more. We want this meeting to be business-oriented rather than politics. We want more bankers to attend the organization. There are Turkish banks in the forum. Also, some banks from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Sudan and United Arab Emirates (UAE) will join us.
Minullina indicated that there would also be ministers, presidents of economic institutions, bureaucrats, MP’s and diplomats in the forum. Minullina mentioned that Turkish Minister of Economy, Nihat Zeybekçi and Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihail Bogdanov, would be present in the forum which aims to improve cultural, economic, scientific relations between states.
This year, topic of the forum is ‘’Islamic Investments in the Framework of Modern International Economic Relations’’. Additionally, social entrepreneurship, economy, donations, institutional strategies, tourism and Islamic education will be minor issues to be debated on, in the forum.
