News Center -TDO- Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey Muhammed Syrus Sajjad Qazi hosted an iftar programme at Ankara HiltonSA Hotel.
Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Özgül Özkan Yavuz, Turkey-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group Chairman AK Party deputy Ali Şahin, foreign mission chiefs and many other guests attended to the programme.
Speaking at the “The Magnificent Pakistan” program, Ambassador Qazi stated that Pakistani territory has a very large tourism potential and said that his country could offer various opportunities to tourists from all over the world.
Pointing out that his country has a strong cultural heritage and a variety of religious and spiritual riches, Ambassador Qazi said, "It's such a fascinating place with green plains and impressive deserts, Pakistan." Ambassador Qazi also reminded that Pakistan is hosting one of the world's first universities.
The documentary "The Magnificent Pakistan", in which the cultural heritage and diversity of Pakistan is described, consists of 5 chapters. Ambassador Qazi said that the documentary met with the audience on TRT Documentary channel.
Speaking at the program, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Özgül Özkan Yavuz said that the friendship between Turkey and Pakistan withstand many years and added “Republic of Turkey will be held at the Presidential patronage within the framework of Pakistan Strategic Action Plan on Culture and Tourism Ministry as a friendly country to tourism in Pakistan are taking place as a strategic partner. We went to Pakistan as soon as possible with our delegation.”
Turkey-Pakistan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Chairman Ali Şahin also made a speech at the iftarprogramme and said "Pakistan is an amazing country. A painted bad table by the global perception centers in your mind you fly Islamabad, Karachi or Lahore. When you take your first step to Pakistan, you will be surprised by a peaceful atmosphere that caresses your soul."
After the speeches, Ambassador Qazi presented a gift to Tomris Burcu Celik, the presenter of the “The Magnificent Pakistan” documentary.
