HURRICANE NATE LED SHARP REDUCTION IN OIL PRODUCTION IN GULF OF MEXICO

As previously known, USA stimulated local authorities in the states – Texas’s Houston and Louisiana- , whose shores are located in the Gulf of Mexico, to evacuate the region and halt oil-drilling. For this reason, the region’s daily oil production reduced very sharply.

The officials tell the figures as 92% decrease in the oil production. BP, Shell, Exxon and Chevron Oil Corps were alerted to halt their drilling activities in order to inhibit the possible terrifying incident like deadly blast. That’s why, those corporations can’t do thier jobs since August. As well as the oil, 77% daily natural gas output was curtailed. According to The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement statement released to the press, devastating Hurricanes caused such losses: 1.61 million barrels of oil per day and 2.48 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day.
