Mustafa AY – TDO – 11.09.2017 Hurricane Irma classified as Category 4 by US National Hurricane Center hit the settlements in southern shores of Florida. However, it is not as harsh as in Dominic and Puerto Rico because Irma is showing its full effect that is destructive category 5. Hurricane Irma’s wind speed is said to be 214 km/h, in comparison to 300 km/h in Dominic and Puerto Rico. Even if it’s blowing with the speed of 214km in Florida, it has already demolished the most of residential areas. The Center forecasted that Irma most probably reaches Georgia soon.
On account of catastrophic effect of Hurricane Irma, 6 million civilians have just been evacuated mandatorily by officials. Even now, Irma wiped yachts in harbors, electric connecting lines and abundant houses out, insomuch that it rendered all irreparable. At last month, Washington stated that the cost of Irma to the States would be 100 billion Dollars, but damage in the states is deteriorating. It has not stopped yet. Therefore, the estimated cost of Hurricane Irma will seemingly exceed 100 billion Dollars.
