HOW MAY THE ECONOMIC DIMENSIONS OF TURKEY’S “SOLUTION PROCESS” DEVELOP?

The “National Unity and Fraternity Project” proposed by then Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoðan in 2010 passed into its second phase two years ago and has come to be known generally as the “Solution Process”. Initially criticised for being vague and its principles and details uncertain, the national Unity and Fraternity Project took the first step towards being accepted by the masses with the messages delivered at the Nervouz Feast of 2013. The process which was complemented by the cessation of armed conflict and inaction is today completing its second phase and moving towards the third in which arms are expected to be buried. Later phases of the Solution Process are expected to include developments such as an amnesty and a return to settled life as well as the strengthening of local administrations.By Cahit UYANIK
