GREEK COMMUNIST GROUP NAMED ‘PAME’ CONDUCTED ANTI-AUSTERITY DEMONSTRATIONS




Mustafa AY – TDO – 10.01.2018 In Greece, Alexis Tsipras’ government’ Ministry of Labor has just implemented austerity program aiming at cutting off the budget at a great proportion, which was demanded by foreign creditors. Greek administration’s decision prompted outrage of Greek communist group named PAME. Protesters from PAME stormed into headquarter of Ministry of Labor so that they could voice their will as ‘no budget cut-off’. According to Greek news agencies, protesters even busted into Minister’s office, Effie Achtsioglou. Besides this, roughly 500 protesters took part in breaching the ministry building.  Following the act of breach by protesters from PAME, they threw papers covering these messages “Puppet of EU and IMF”. So, they rejected newly-implemented austerity program of Tsipras government.
