Serhat TUNAR -TDO- In the coming weeks, Germany will send a warship to the Black Sea as part of the NATO permanent anti-mine group.
The Defense Ministry spokesperson said that the Werra Warship belonging to the German Navy will be temporarily in the Black Sea due to a NATO mission in February. According to Deutsche Welle, the battleship will visit Burgas and Varna ports of Bulgaria.
Germany Defense Ministry officials announced that they had been planned for a while and that there were no plans to send other vessels to the Black Sea.
According to the Montreux Convention Regarding the Regime of the Straits, came into force in 1936, warships belonging to the countries that do not border on Black Sea,may only remain in its waters for a maximum 21 days.
