GERMAN POLITICIANS SUGGEST RUSSIA TO MOVE THEIR MISSILES FOR MAINTANING THE INF TREATY

Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Rodolfich Kiesewetter, party advisor of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, and Rolf Mützenich, the Deputy Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) Parliamentary Group, told the Frankfurter AllgemeineSonntagszeitung that for maintaining the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), which was suspended by both the US and Russia, Moscow should deploy their 9M729 missiles to the east as much as possible.

Kiesewetter and Mützenich suggested that the missiles should be moved beyond the Ural Mountains, which separates Europe and Asia from the missiles, so that the range of Russian missiles does not reach Europe.

German politicians said they did not expect Russia to abandon the 9M729 missiles completely and they also stated that with this solution suggestion, the trust relationship between the US and Russia could be restored and the INF negotiations could resume.
