Mustafa AY – TDO – 05.06.2018 Right after failed coup attempts in July 15, 8 fugitive coup plotters, who fled to Greece with a Turkish Skorksy, have just been released from 18 months-long imprisonment under police custody by Greek court on Monday. Even if Greek court released fugitive coup plotters from imprisonment, Greek authorities will keep fugitive coup plotters under police custody during the time of their accomodations in high secrecy. As known, 8 coup plotters applied Greek authorities for asylum. In the wake of failed coup attempt, Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Ministry of Justice asked Greek government for extradition of fugitive coup plotters, which then resulted in rejection by Greek judiciary. Greek court rejected extradition demand of Turkey at the pretext of that Turkish authorities would not have a fair judicial proceeding. Thus, Turkish-Greek relations deteriorated.
