Mustafa AY – TDO – 04.08.2018 On Friday, Hamas’s exiled political leader Ismail Haniya returned to Gaza for reconciliation-oriented negotiations with Israel, between which Egypt will mediate. Besides Hamas’s political leader, many other top officials including in Saleh al-Arouri in charge of Hamas’s military wing, who’s been wanted by Israel for a long while, accompanied Haniya to Gaza in order to attend the negotiations.
In accordance with statement released from Hamas’s official website ‘Safa’, Israel guaranteed Hamas’s leader not to organize any kind of strike. Since Israel pledge that no attack will be carried out, Hamas leader with his all political-bureau returned to Gaza with the aim of reaching a truce. With the ceasefire settlement, Gaza’s reconstruction may happen with the huge assistance of UN if the opposing parties concur with the conditions of truce, which both sides’ll put forward.
