Hassam Hameed-TDO-16.02.2018- Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has resigned unexpectedly, reported by state media. Country saw large protests during his term in office. Protesters have have demanding reforms. His authority was seen as fractured since last 10 months.
PM has given no reasons for his departure. Although his authority has been questioned for a while by his opposition. He also resigned from the leadership of his party. Country saw protests for last 10 months, which had ten people killed and many more injured. He has been releasing many opposition loyalists in past recent weeks.
Country has been experiencing violent protests since 2015. Demanding end to state corruption and making reforms to government policies.
