Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Juan Guaido, who declared himself head of state in Venezuela in recent months with the support of the United States, announced that he took a group of soldiers and took action to end President Nicolas Maduro's rule. Guaido's attempt was met with different reactions in the world.
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said in a statement from the social media accounts, it is needed to respect the president elected by the people. Erdogan said, “We condemn the coup attempt in Venezuela. The world has to respect the democratic choices of the Venezuelan people."
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu also made a statement and said "Today we are concerned by the reports that there was some attempt against the constitutional order in Venezuela.”
