EGYPTIAN COURT REJECTS BORDER DEMARCATION AGREEMENT WITH SAUDI ARABIA





The Administrative Court has annulled on Tuesday a maritime border agreement with Saudi Arabia in which Egypt would have ceded control of two Red Sea islands of Tiran and Sanafir.
President of Egypt Abdul Fattah al-Sisi announced that Tiran and Sanafir would be transferred in April, during a visit by Saudi Arabia' King Salman. The government still can appeal the ruling at a higher court. However, the agreement must also be approved by parliament.
