ECHR JUDGE SAADET YÜKSEL STARTED HER DUTY




Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Saadet Yüksel, who was elected as the judge of the ECHR, started her duty by swearing an oath. Saadet Yüksel's oath ceremony was attended by the heads of the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court and the Council of State.

The Greek President Linos-Alexandre Siclianos and several ECHR judges attended the oath ceremony held for Saadet Yüksel at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg. Sicilianos wished success to Saadet Yüksel in his speech at the ceremony.

According to Deutsche Welle, the Constitutional Court President Zühtü Arslan, President of the Court of Cassation İsmail Rüştü, and President of the Council of State Zerrin Güngör took part in the oath ceremony. The information that these three will participate in the oath ceremony was not shared with the press by the ECHR before and after the ceremony. The ECHR did not make any visual sharing about the ceremony.

The swearing-in ceremonies before the judges take office in the ECHR are usually simple and without senior participation.
