DECISION TO EXPAND ENERGY COOPERATION IN EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN FROM CYPRUS, GREECE, USA AND ISRAEL




Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Greece, Cyprus, Israel and the United States have decided to increase energy cooperation in the region. Energy Ministers of Greece, Cyprus and Israel met in Athens at the 1st Energy Ministerial Conference with the participation of the United States representative in Athens

As the representatives of the four countries met in Athens, the Greek capital, the Turkish drilling vessel Yavuz started its first drilling off the coast of Northern Cyprus.

Francis Fannon, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Energy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented the Trump Government.

Greek Energy Minister Kostis Hajidakis said after the meeting that the four countries have decided to boost co-operation on energy, infrastructure and cyber security.
