Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Many leaders, including President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Felix Tshisekedi, participated in the Tokyo International Africa Development Conference aimed at developing African countries.
Felix Tshisekedi made history as the first Congolese president to attend the TICAD summit in person. Tshisekedi announced that he had gone to Japan to seek support for economic policies. Tshisekedi also met with large companies participating in the Japan-Africa Forum organized by the Japanese government.
Tshisekedi said that Japan left good marks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and said that he was pleased with Japan's interest in his country.
TICAD countries prefer a more trade-based cooperation model between Japan and Africa. The Japanese Foreign Trade Organization proposes to support African companies in structuring their projects according to Tokyo standards to accelerate the continent's development through business.
