News Centre – TDO- To mark the centenary of the Great Union of Romania and 140 years of diplomatic ties between Romania and Turkey, a public diplomacy activity was held.
The event, hosted by the Romanian Embassy and held in cooperation with the Municipality of Çankaya, was attended by children of the 5-6 age group, who are pupils at the Çankaya Togan Özliyen, Masal Kalesi, Berkin Elvan and Martı Day Care Centres.
At the fun event, children who wore clothes in the Romanian and Turkish national colours participated in activities inspired by Romanian and Turkish culture in the gardens of the Romanian Embassy in Ankara.
There was also a first of its kind activity. Participating children drew pictures depicting Romanian Flag on the asphalt of the garage on which the Romanian Embassy is situated.
The event was attended by Romanian Embassy staff, representatives from the Municipality of Çankaya, children and staff from the day care centres as well as members of the press from Romania and Turkey.
