CLAUDIO BORGHI SUGGESTS QUITTING EU

Serhat TUNAR -TDO -In Italy, Claudio Borghi, deputy of the coalition government's extreme right-wing Lig Party and chairman of the Parliamentary Budget Commission, said that if the European Parliament elections on 26 May did not bring any innovation to Italy, they would bring the European Union out of the parliament.

Speaking to journalists at a meeting organized by a labor union in Italy, Borghi said, "The European Parliament elections on May 26 are the last hope for us. If nothing will change, and Europe continues to harm Italy, we will raise the idea of exiting the EU.”

Claudio Borghi said that it would not be easy to leave the European Union, but he said that they still had to try it for the future of Italy.
