CANADIAN PM’S STATEMENT ABOUT NAFTA NEGOTIATIONS

Mustafa AY – TDO – 28.09.2018 Canadian PM Justin Trudeau made vital assertions with regards to ongoing NAFTA negotiations and Trump administration’s aggressive tariff policy in New York, where he went to take part in 73rd Session of UN General Assembly. PM Trudeau underlined that he will not rush to finalize new NAFTA deal with Mexico and USA for the purpose of preserving Canada’s national interests. As a rationale, Trudeau thinks of that ongoing NAFTA negotiations might conclude with a failure that is not good for Canada. As well as NAFTA negotiations, Trudeau also stated that they are confident since they’ve already been prepared against any commercial threats, which will be posed by USA’s possible imposition of tariffs.
