Serhat TUNAR -TDO - The mass actions that started after the announcement of the candidacy of President Abdulaziz Buteflika for the fifth time in Algeria have been going on for two weeks. To reduce the power of the students who played the leading role in the actions, the government decided to move the spring holiday to an earlier time.
According to Euronews Turkish, the Ministry of Higher Education took the decision one day after organizing the country's massive demonstrations against Buteflika, who has been ruling the country for 20 years.
According to the decree issued by the Ministry, the holiday the holiday will start on March 10th.
Hundreds of thousands of students, most of whom were students, participated in anti-government demonstrations. According to local media reports, 110 demonstrators and 112 security guards were injured during the demonstrations.
