2 GERMAN NGO EMPLOYEES RELEASED IN SYRIA




Mustafa AY – TDO – 10.08.2018 Following long-lasting negotiations amidst Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Syrian Asad Regime’s government, two German NGO workers were released from detention. In accordance with official statement from Czech Foreign Ministry, Czech FM Jan Hamacek flied to Damascus to receive two Germans from Syrian Asad Regime’s officials.

Czech Foreign Ministry expressed that both German workers are in good health condition. Czech authorities stated that the workers will be soon brought to Prag and then delivered to German embassy officials.

Czech Republic come into prominence as the only EU member nation to maintain its diplomatic ties with Syria’s Asad Regime. That Prag provides consulate services to EU citizens puts Czech government in a intermediary position between EU-Asad Regime.
