“TAGORE PAINTING CONTEST” AWARD CEREMONY WAS HELD IN ANKARA




News Center -TDO-India’s Ambassador to Turkey Sanjay Bhattacharyya hosted an award ceremony at Ankara Büyük Tiyatro for students ranking the highest in ”Looking to India: Tagore Painting Contest”.

India’s Ambassador to Turkey Sanjay Bhattacharyya, Ministry of National Education General Director of Secondary Education Yusuf Büyük, guests and students attended to the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Bhattacharyya said that about one thousand five hundred students from Ankara, Antalya, Bursa and Istanbul  attended to the Tagore Painting Contest and pointed out that the Indian poet Rabindrnath Tagore, who gave his name to the competition, was a close friend of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Congratulating all the students who participated in the competition, Ambassador Bhattacharyya thanked the Ministry of National Education, Provincial Directorates of National Education, jury and other bureaucrats for their support and contributions.

The program ended with the awarding of certificates and awards to the primary and secondary school students and disadvantaged students after the performance of Bollywood Dance Company from India.
