News Centre – TDO – A reception was held at the Contemporary Arts Centre of Çankaya Municipality on the occasion of the 2nd Latin American and Caribbean Films Festival organised in cooperation by embassies of Latin American and Caribbean countries in Ankara and Çankaya Municipality.
The reception was attended by Ministry of Foreign Affairs America Office Director-general Ambassador İnan Özyıldız, Turkey’s new Ambassador to Brazil Murat Ateş, Brazil’s Ambassador to Turkey Eduardo Riccardo Gradilone Neto, Mexico’s Ambassador to Turkey Bernardo Cordova Tello, Equator’s Ambassador to Turkey Roberto Betancourt Ruales, Guatemala’s Ambassador to Turkey Lars Pira, Peru’s Ambassador to Turkey Luis Alberto Campana Boluarte, Cuba’s Ambassador to Turkey Luis Alberto Amoros Nunez as well as many representatives of diplomatic missions.
The festival, which was first held in 2016, is open to cinema goers in Ankara for the second time on November 7th and 21st.
Nine films will be shown as part of the festival to be held at Çankaya Municipality’s Contemporary Arts Centre. Participating countries are Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.
On the first day of the festival, guests were shown the Brazilian film Trash.
